| The X-Files and romance do not go together, IM(H)O. That's why I'm a noromo, or a person who believes in no romantic moments in TXF, especially between mulder and scully. I believe this because, firstly, I don't think romance suits the darkness, mystery, and, well... spookiness of the Files. If Mulder and Scully let their relationship come in-between their work, ie, the cases they hope to solve, then their relationship may take precedence over the discovery of the truth. And that's not what The X-Files is about. I watched The X-Files, and continue to do so, because I want to see how the Syndicate's plans pan out. I want to continue watching the weird and wonderful cases that are filed under X. I don't want to see them being intimate, romantic, or otherwise, with each other - especially when they're on a quest to stop something that could end the world [at least in The X-Files universe]. Secondly, I don't think they're suited to each other. Despite the common ground they share by discovering the files, having both lost family members, etc.; ultimately, I think they're just too different to be anything other than what they were in the first season. But hey, this is only my opinion. I have respect for all Philes: we're joined in the battle against Fox, right?... but if you do agree with me, feel free to join the BeeSquad. Yours in noromance, Kathryn Member of the BeeSquad Colonel of the k.o.d.b |
